It suddenly occured to me that of all the culture shock that I am supposed to experience (being an international student, esp. at Calvin and all that), the culture that I am most surprised by is the Chinese culture, the one that is theoretically my own. The moves and steps of that culture leaves me nervous and uncomfortable, wondering what and if I had done wrong, misunderstood, and the more the mysteries of the culture is unveiled to me, the more baffled and amazed I am to find out how much I do not understand and not know about this secretive culture. I meet with people of other cultures that are even less known to me, both in name and details, but they are more acceptable and "fitted" to me.
