Nicknames

Deb, Deborah, Debbie, Debby, Debster (self proclaimed), Lim (high school math teacher), China Doll, Shorty (uncle), Debrecen, Debra, Drebra (grad school/church), Kimberly (clinic client) and my favorite of them all....International Threat to Internal Security, given by a security guard who was an obvious newbie at the check-in counter of an Italian city's airport. It doesn't get better than that. After I was a grubby-looking female checking in at the airport during an ungodly hour of the morning carrying a hiker's backpack that was higher than my head and weighed as much as I did. Woohoo for Malaysian passports.
