Miracle child

I sat to talk to a mum, just like I do after pretty much every session, to debrief the events that happened, give suggestions for home and answer any question she (or he, for dads) may have. And the conversation drifted to include the child's history. And she said, "...and we'll take whatever we can get." The condition was caught earlier on, despite its' severity, surgery was performed and the child lived. Hence the words. And that gave me new eyes. I have theĀ privilegeĀ of working with a miracle child.
